Abstract

Each raw material has its own physical and mechanical properties, depending on the type, shape and size. These properties affect the quality and quantity of finished products, the efficiency of technological machines, and the energy consumption of processes. Usually, during operation, the processed raw materials undergo various changes depending on time under the influence of machines, mechanical force and other factors (for example, temperature, humidity). In this work, the main physical and mechanical properties affecting the processing of cereal products were demonstrated. Many equations for the pressing of bulk materials are given, including the equation of widespread application by N.F.Kunin and V. D. Yurchenko, obtained on the basis of the assumption of integrity.
