The article examines and studies the device for cleaning cotton from small impurities and its main components. A laboratory version of the cleaning equipment was created, and its operating principle was described. The research objectives were defined, pins of various shapes were installed on the laboratory equipment, different experiments were conducted, and the experimental results were obtained. The influence of changing the shape and size of the pins during cotton cleaning on equipment cleaning efficiency, seed damage, and the number of defects and impurities in the fiber was analyzed. The obtained results were analyzed to determine the efficiency of the cleaning equipment and the compliance of fiber and seed damage levels with national standards.
