Abstract

One of the urgent problems of additive technology in construction today is the reinforcement of concrete by 3D printing. This article provides a comprehensive overview of reinforcement methods, with a particular focus on automating the 3D-printed concrete reinforcement process. Although the functionality of various types of fittings is briefly discussed, the main focus is on its technological aspects. Since this review article focused on automation, some methods that cannot be automated were not considered. After reviewing each method, the review article evaluated its ability to automate, and its properties were compared with traditional reinforced concrete.
