The article considers the results of research aimed at ensuring the safety of field uniform of special forces personnel. The purpose of the research work is to identify optimal materials for use in adverse environmental conditions and improve the functional and design solutions of the uniform. During the study, the properties of waterproof cotton-ether camouflage, low-shrink cotton-ether camouflage and polyviscose camouflage fabrics were investigated in laboratory conditions for air permeability, tensile strength and abrasion resistance. The results obtained allowed us to identify the advantages and disadvantages of each material. In addition, the results of surveys of special forces personnel were used to improve the design solutions. The article provides a detailed description of each material, the results of the tests and design recommendations based on feedback from special forces personnel. The results of the study can become an important source of information that must be taken into account when selecting materials and making design decisions for the production of field uniforms for special forces personnel.
